In the framework of the Lalish reconstruction initiative, work is currently underway to renovate shrines and other sacred sites at the Lalish Temple. On Tuesday, September 10, 2024, Engineer Khairi Gadi, one of the supervisors of the Lalish Temple renovation, told Sama: Within the Lalish reconstruction project, under the supervision of the Emir and the Spiritual Council, and overseen by the Engineering Committee and Babe Chawish, with financial donations from benefactors, work on both the shrines of Khatuna Fakhra and Aqda Kuchak Brim has reached its final stages. Additionally, work continues on the construction of Sheikh Abdal Bisk’s shrine. Engineer Khairi Gadi also clarified: Among other projects being implemented in Lalish are the construction of the Lalish Valley road with natural stones along with pedestrian paths for coming and going, retaining walls, two landing sites for helicopters, and several other works. This project has also reached its final stages. The Lalish Temple is the only holy temple of the Yazidis. Yazidis from all over the world visit it to perform religious rituals, festivals, and events. With the support of the Kurdistan Regional Government, several service projects have been implemented at the Lalish Temple, and work continues to further serve Lalish. Additionally, several shrines and religious sites within the Lalish Temple have been renovated, with benefactors and organizations supporting the Lalish Temple renovation project. Yazidis have eight eids, including: New Year’s Eid, Ezi Fasting Eid(Eida Rojiet Ezi) , Bilinde Eid, Khidr Elias Eid, Eid al-Adha, Summer Eid(Eida jle havine) , Winter Eid, and Jemaiye Eid.
