Hussein Shenkali, head of the Kurdistan Students Union in Shingal, told Sema that more than a thousand students from Shingal are accepted each year into universities and institutes in the Kurdistan Region. He explained that the Kurdistan Regional Government offers extensive support to these students, including scholarships, financial assistance, and a supportive academic environment. Shenkali emphasized that these initiatives reflect the government’s commitment to ensuring higher education opportunities for all, particularly for students from areas with specific challenges like Shingal.
