Today, a significant event was held at the Yezidi Forum Oldenburg under the title “The Yazidi Genocide in Film and Picture.”
The evening was expertly hosted by Dr. Majid Hassan Ali, who emphasized the profound importance of the subject in a deeply moving manner. Our 1st Chairman, Ilyas Yanc, took the opportunity to provide an update on the progress of the planned Yazidi memorial in Germany—an essential step in preserving the memory of the victims of the genocide.
The highlight of the event was a powerful lecture by journalist and filmmaker Darman Baadri. Over the past decade, Baadri has documented the atrocities of the Yazidi genocide, capturing the pain and resilience of his people through his poignant images and films.
The event was organized in cooperation with the International Escape Museum e.V. Sponsors Association. We extend our sincere gratitude to all the participants and guests who joined us in making a stand against oblivion and ensuring the memory of the Yazidi genocide endures.
