Sheikhan, Duhok – June 2025
A British investment delegation paid an official visit to Sheikhan District , as part of efforts to strengthen economic and cultural cooperation between the Kurdistan Region and the United Kingdom.
The delegation was warmly received by Mr. Sardar Sheikh Yahya, the District Governor of Sheikhan. A dedicated discussion session was held, during which both sides explored promising investment sectors in the district — particularly in the fields of tourism and heritage.
Governor Sheikh Sardar emphasized that Sheikhan represents a unique model of religious and cultural coexistence in the Middle East, making it an attractive destination for sustainable and socially conscious investments.

Lalish Temple, one of the most revered religious and historical sites in the region. The delegation expressed deep admiration for the spiritual atmosphere and historical richness of the site.
