25,000 Signatures to Stop the Forced Deportation of Ezidis

Sema
The start of deportation procedures targeting Ezidi refugees in Germany has raised concerns among members of the Ezidi community, who continue to suffer from the lasting trauma and consequences of the genocide.

Jasim Qasim Bozani, an advisor to the Ezidi House in the German city of Pforzheim, announced today, November 3, 2026, in an exclusive statement to Sema TV, that they have been working for nearly two years with German political parties and humanitarian organisations. They have also been holding discussions with the State Parliament of Baden-Württemberg, aiming to halt the forced deportation of Ezidis from the state.

The advisor explained that, following extensive efforts and advocacy, they achieved a positive outcome by securing the support of a member of the state parliament, who pledged to facilitate the process for Ezidi refugees, on the condition that 25,000 signatures be collected.

As a result, deportations have currently been halted only in the Pforzheim district, not throughout Germany.

Bozani called on all Ezidis and their supporters to back the initiative and sign the petition in order to help stop the deportation of Ezidis.

He also noted that all residents of Germany and Europe, whether Ezidis or members of other communities, can participate in the initiative and sign the petition through the online link.

According to unofficial estimates, around 400,000 Ezidis live in Germany across various cities, where they continue to practise their religious rituals and preserve their cultural traditions and customs.
