Another mass grave of Yazidi victims of ISIS has been uncovered in Shingal, prompting a specialized team to prepare for its excavation. Khairi Ali, head of the Betricor Human Rights Organization, told Sema that this grave is located in the Siba Sheikh Khidir complex in the Gir Uzer sub-district and contains primarily the bodies of children, along with some adult clothing. He noted that authorities have been informed about the grave, and excavation efforts have been paused. Following the ISIS attack on Shingal on August 3, 2014, hundreds of Yazidi civilians were killed by the terrorists. To date, over 92 mass and individual graves of Yazidi victims have been found in Shingal, with some already excavated and remains recovered.
