Ezidi boxer Kovan Jamil, known as Kovan Qaidi, is preparing to compete in an international professional boxing championship organized by the World Sports Group in Munich, Germany. The competition is scheduled to take place on November 28, 2026.
Speaking to Sema TV, Kovan Qaidi said his goal is to achieve a major victory in the competition, stating: “I aspire to achieve a significant victory in this important championship and dedicate it to the people of Kurdistan.”
Kovan Qaidi competes in the 71-kilogram weight category and is ranked 359th in the world among more than 2,000 boxers.
Originally from Daka Mazin village, part of the Babira collective in Alqosh Subdistrict, Kovan Qaidi currently resides in Germany. He has previously participated in several competitions and achieved notable sporting accomplishments.
