His Highness Prince Hazim Tahsin Said (Prince of the Yazidis in Iraq and the world and Chairman of the Yazidi Supreme Spiritual Council) chaired the regular meeting of the Yazidi Supreme Spiritual Council, accompanied by Princess Mayan Khairi Bek (the Prince’s spouse), and attended by members of the Spiritual Council, the Prince’s deputies, and advisors.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Highness reviewed the various activities and initiatives he had undertaken over the past year, urging everyone to make their utmost efforts in striving to secure the rights of the Yazidis.
The meeting also discussed the issues and topics on its agenda, including the current political developments in Syria following Ahmed Al-Shar’ assuming new leadership.
The council emphasized the importance of Yazidis obtaining their rights in Syria, similar to other segments and components of the Syrian people.
Additionally, the meeting addressed legal aspects regarding dowries, agreeing that the dowry for a bride would be set at 25 grams of gold.
