The Governor of Nineveh, Abdul Qader Al-Dakhil, met with Prince Hazem Tahseen Beg, the Prince of the Yazidi Religion in Iraq and the World, and Father Raed Adel, the representative of the Christian community, along with their accompanying delegation, to discuss the needs of the Yazidi community.
The meeting was attended by MP Mahma Khalil, Dr. Khalaf Sinjari, the Prime Minister’s Advisor, as well as the Governor’s deputies for administrative affairs, organizations, and displaced persons, along with several elders and sheikhs from the Yazidi community.
During the meeting, Al-Dakhil listened to the main needs and requirements of the residents of Sinjar district, including service projects and support in various areas. He confirmed his commitment to fulfilling these needs and providing all possible support.
Al-Dakhil emphasized that the visit carries significant meaning for promoting peaceful coexistence and strengthening the spirit of citizenship. He pointed out that “Nineveh in 2014 is different from Nineveh in 2025,” expressing his hopes for achieving true stability in the Sinjar district. He also stressed that the local government is making every effort to provide the best support and comfort for the Yazidi community, within the framework of promoting civil peace and unity among the components of the province.
