Prince Hazim Urges the German Government to Halt Yazidi Deportations

Sema

His Highness Prince Hazem Tahsin Said (Prince of the Yazidis in Iraq and the World and Chairman of the Supreme Yazidi Spiritual Council) appealed to the German government not to deport Yazidis and other Iraqi minorities from Germany for any reason. He emphasized that Yazidis consider Germany their second home due to the support provided by the German government to the Yazidi community.

He pointed out that Germany’s recognition of the genocide committed against the Yazidis on August 3rd is the strongest evidence that Yazidis are persecuted and should not be deported. He confirmed that they are making every effort and engaging with the German government and parliament to halt the deportation decision.

He also stated that Yazidis and other minorities have suffered greatly in recent years due to ISIS’s invasion of their areas. The genocide continues against them, as Yazidis still live in displacement camps, enduring harsh conditions in both summer and winter.
