The Kurdistan Regional Government’s Council of Ministers is holding a meeting today, Wednesday, June 18, 2025, chaired by Prime Minister Masrour Barzani and attended by Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani, to discuss a number of political and service-related issues.
According to a statement from the KRG’s Department of Media and Information, the meeting will address three key agenda items.
In the first item, the Council will discuss the latest developments in the region, the ongoing war, and the political, military, and security tensions, as well as their impact on the Kurdistan Region.
The second item will involve reviewing a proposal from the Ministry of Interior to extend the Cabinet’s decision to reduce traffic violation fines by 20% for an additional six months, from July 1 to December 31, 2025.
The third item will focus on following up on the Cabinet’s decision made during meeting No. 159 on March 19, 2025, regarding the establishment of a general medical college. It will also include discussions on the response from the Federal Ministry of Finance concerning the matter, as detailed in official letter No. 1162 dated April 9, 2025.
