On Monday, August 25, 2025, an academic conference dedicated to discussing the Ezidi genocide was held at the University of Kurdistan in Erbil, under the patronage of Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani, and in the presence of the Ezidi Prince and Baba Sheikh.
The event brought together a distinguished group of researchers and academics from around the world, invited by the University of Kurdistan, to examine the genocide from scholarly and scientific perspectives.
Conference sessions explored the dimensions of the Ezidi genocide, including mechanisms of documentation and possibilities for achieving justice for the victims.
