Khairy Khadr, a young Yazidi artist, has been making all types of tambourines from the four parts of Kurdistan for the past seven years.
Khairy Khadr says about his work: “Since 2018, I have started making tambourines using my own tools and equipment, and I make them from apricot, willow, and mulberry trees, which include those from all four parts of Kurdistan, especially the Kurmanji one. Until now, I have provided tambourines to many famous artists from Sinjar.”
He also said: “I play the tambourine at weddings, and this work also provides my livelihood. As long as I am healthy, I will continue my work.”
The mentioned person is 36 years old and is from the Khanasoor comples in the Sinjar district.
