The mayor of Shingal district announced that ISIS terrorists shot the people of Sinjar, especially Yazidis, in mass graves, and graves are still being discovered.
Today, Tuesday, October 1, 2024, Naif Saydo, the mayor of Shingal district, told Sama: When ISIS terrorists attacked Shingal district, they shot dozens of Yazidi citizens in mass graves across all areas of Shingal. He also said that so far, more than 90 mass and individual graves have been discovered.
He pointed out that when the people of Shingal returned to their areas, graves were also discovered by citizens, and they expect that there are still more to be found.
The terrorist organization ISIS took control of Shingal on August 3, 2014, and committed crimes against humanity and genocide against the Yazidis. They captured 6,417 citizens, including girls, women, children, and men, and the fate of hundreds is still unknown.
