Transfer of ISIS Families from Al-Hol to Al-Jada’a Sparks Controversy and Outrage in Shingal

The member of parliament, engineer  Mahama Khalil Ali Agha, announced that the Ministry of Migration and Displacement will be transferring 150 ISIS families from the Syrian Al-Hol camp to the Al-Jada’a camp in Nineveh, passing through Sinjar.

In a statement, Ali Agha said, “The passage of these families through the city of Sinjar, which was ravaged by ISIS and where genocide was committed against its people, especially the Yazidi religious minority, is an affront to our feelings. The ministry is taking care of the families of ISIS members, who are ticking time bombs that could explode at any moment, more than the victims of ISIS.”

He added, “The ministry’s actions are rewarding the executioners and punishing the victims and the families of martyrs in places like Sinjar, Speicher, and others.” He noted that this decision came shortly after the approval of the general amnesty law, which raises more questions.

He confirmed that he would submit a parliamentary inquiry to the Minister of Migration and Displacement, as well as seek clarification from the government about the reasons for the transfer of ISIS families, questioning whether this is a normal procedure or if it is being done under international pressure.
