The Council of Ministers of the Kurdistan Region is holding its regular meeting today, Wednesday, July 2, 2025, led by Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government.
In the first section of the meeting, discussions will focus on the outcomes of recent meetings between delegations from the Kurdistan Regional Government and the Federal Government, held from June 29 to July 1, 2025. These meetings were attended by representatives of oil companies and addressed the resumption of Kurdistan Region’s oil exports through SOMO.
The meeting will also address the issue of salaries for public employees in the Kurdistan Region for the months of May and June.
In the second section, the Council will discuss a report from the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs regarding retirees and social security for workers in the Kurdistan Region. The report includes statistics and updates on progress made in this area, along with recommendations and proposals.
