His Highness Prince Hazim Tahsin Saeed, the Prince of the Ezidis in Iraq and the world and President of the Supreme Ezidi Spiritual Council, extended his warmest congratulations and best wishes to all Muslims in Iraq and around the world, and to everyone celebrating this blessed holiday of Eid al-Adha (Hajiya/Qurban).
He stated that this feast belongs to the Prophet Abraham (peace be upon him), the father of the prophets, and is shared by all Abrahamic religions.
He added that the Ezidi religion celebrates the Hajiya/Qurban Feast, which symbolizes the day Prophet Abraham was prepared to sacrifice his son Ishmael as an offering and vow for the sake of God Almighty.
His Highness emphasized that holidays unite people and call for doing good, rejecting hatred and extremism in all its forms, and building bridges of love and communication with others while recognizing them as partners in motherland and humanity.
He concluded by wishing all those celebrating this holiday goodness, security, and peace every year.
