His Holiness Baba Sheikh, Sheikh Ali Sheikh Elias, visited the Ezidi House in the German city of Oldenburg on Wednesday, where he was welcomed by the head of the institution, Elias Jang, members of the administration, and a number of prominent figures and families from the Ezidi community.
At the beginning of the visit, Baba Sheikh conveyed the greetings of Prince Hazim Tahsin Beg and the members of the Supreme Spiritual Council. He praised the significant role and dedicated efforts of Ezidi Houses in Germany, which for decades have worked to preserve Ezidi religious and cultural identity and heritage in the diaspora.
Baba Sheikh stressed the importance of the educational and religious mission carried out by these institutions through organizing religious courses and lessons for younger generations, helping strengthen their connection to their authentic values and traditions.
At the conclusion of the visit, His Holiness met with students of the religious school affiliated with the Ezidi House. He listened to their recitation of sacred hymns and prayers and expressed his pride in their level of knowledge and commitment. He encouraged them to remain devoted to the philosophy of the Ezidi faith and to faithfully pass this ancient heritage on to future generations.
