Lalish Temple: The Sacred Heart of Yazidi Heritage and Tradition

Lalish Temple is a religious temple of the Yazidi Kurds, located in a semi-hard valley adorned with trees and springs, 12 km northwest of the center of Sheikhan district (Ain Safni) in Duhok province.

Yazidis visit it from all over the world. It is a unique spot where silence and calm, fresh air, greenery, trees, and domes above the heights that extend on both sides of the holy valley, are distributed among them pictures and scenes talking and conveying to us various stories. Each story has a historical and religious background related to the Yazidi religion.

Hundreds of tourists and Yazidi religious enthusiasts visit the place every year. Many foreign tourists travel to Lalish to see and learn about the Yazidi customs and traditions. Lalish is one of the world’s religious temples.
