His Highness Prince Hazem Tahseen Said (Prince of the Ezidis in Iraq and around the world, and Head of the Ezidi Supreme Spiritual Council) received a delegation from the British Parliament headed by Mr. John Sleigh.
After welcoming the visiting delegation, His Highness reviewed the historical relations between the Ezidis and the United Kingdom since the establishment of the Iraqi state up to the present day.
The two sides discussed the Ezidi genocide, the situation in Sinjar, mechanisms to enhance security and stability in the region, and the need to ensure the dignified return of displaced persons to their homes.
During the discussions, a proposal was made to form a UN team to search for the missing Ezidi men and women.
The visiting delegation emphasized the importance of the Ezidi cause and the need to raise global awareness, including informing the British government and ensuring continuous international support.
