Hussein Qaidi: Ongoing Efforts to Rescue Yazidi Abductees in Syria

The Head of the Office for Yazidi Abductee Affairs has expressed hope for rescuing more Yazidi abductees following anticipated political changes in Syria after the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime.

Hussein Qaidi, the head of the office, stated, “We anticipate the rescue and return of additional Yazidi abductees in Syria, particularly after the release of many prisoners from Syrian prisons.”

Qaidi emphasized that efforts are ongoing to locate and secure the release of all missing Yazidis.

According to official statistics, of the 6,417 Yazidis kidnapped by ISIS, 3,584 have been successfully rescued to date.
