Kurdistan Region PM pledges to cover treatment of displaced Ezidi family battling cancer, inside the Region or abroad

The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, Masrour Barzani, has responded to a humanitarian appeal concerning a displaced Ezidi family of four, all suffering from cancer and currently residing in the Bajid Kandala camp under the independent Zakho administration. He has pledged to cover all their medical treatment costs, whether within the Region or abroad, and has instructed that they receive full support, including the dispatch of a special medical team to directly monitor their health condition.

Ezidi MP in the Iraqi Parliament, Vian Dakhil, commented:
“We extend our sincere thanks and gratitude to the Prime Minister for this noble humanitarian gesture, which has restored hope to this devastated family. His response was immediate following the appeal we conveyed to him. Serving our people is a moral and humanitarian duty that we are always committed to.”

It is worth noting that the Ezidi family, originally from the Sinjar district, has been living in the Bajid Kandala camp since ISIS committed genocide against the Ezidi people.
