Nechirvan Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Region, received a congratulatory message on the occasion of Nowruz from Donald Trump, President of the United States.
In his message, President Trump expressed his warmest congratulations to President Nechirvan Barzani, writing: “Newroz is a celebration of the arrival of spring and a reflection of the eternal victory of light over darkness. This ancient holiday is an annual expression of the power of new beginnings.”
President Trump added: “I pray that this year’s Newroz will help strengthen the values of peace and human dignity, and that the new year will be filled with goodness and happiness.”
He also extended his congratulations to all those celebrating Nowruz, concluding his message in Kurdish: “Newroz Pîroz = Happy Newroz.”
