MP and engineer Mahama Khalil Agha responded today to recent statements by MP Mustafa Sand, stressing that “the law is above all” and that rights must be reclaimed through constitutional and legal frameworks.
In a brief statement, Khalil called for avoiding “childish behavior,” noting that such positions do not represent the community Sand belongs to, which is known for its moderation. He emphasized that the Ezidi community has made great sacrifices in confronting terrorism, and that any provocative remarks only revive the pain of suffering, displacement, and captivity—threatening the social fabric.
He concluded by demanding that Sand issue an official apology under the parliament dome; otherwise, legal action will be pursued to ensure rights are protected.
