Masrour Barzani congratulated the Chaldean, Assyrian, and Syriac communities in the Kurdistan Region and around the world on the occasion of Akitu, the Babylonian–Assyrian New Year, on Wednesday, April 1, 2026.
In his message, he extended his warmest wishes for happiness, prosperity, and blessings to all members of these communities, expressing hope that the new year would bring them well-being and joy.
He also emphasized the deep-rooted culture of peaceful coexistence and brotherhood among all components of Kurdistan, wishing continued peace and stability for the region and the world.
