United States – Two Ezidi siblings from northern Iraq have died in a tragic car accident in the United States — a heartbreaking event that has left the Ezidi community in deep mourning, both in the diaspora and in their hometown.
The victims, Karwan Luqman and his sister Caroline Luqman, were originally from Karsafa Village in the Alqosh Sub-District. The siblings had been living in the U.S., where they were pursuing their university education.
According to sources close to the family, the accident occurred while the two were returning home. Heavy rainfall and poor weather conditions are believed to have contributed to the crash.
Karwan had recently graduated from high school and was preparing to begin his university studies. Caroline was in her final year of university. Their sudden deaths have sent shockwaves through the Ezidi community, with friends, relatives, and fellow students mourning the loss of two bright and promising young lives.
