President Barzani’s Message on the 80th Anniversary of the Founding of the Kurdistan Democratic Party
In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
On the occasion of August 16 and the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, I extend my warmest congratulations and best wishes to the honorable families of the martyrs, the brave Peshmerga, all members and supporters of the party, and to the entire people of Kurdistan.
The Kurdistan Democratic Party was founded during a difficult and challenging era, with the aim of restoring hope and strength to the people of Kurdistan. Throughout its history of struggle, the party has served as a school for Kurdish fighters and revolutionaries and as a steadfast defender of the legitimate rights of the people of Kurdistan at every stage.
The Kurdistan Democratic Party, in the past, present, and future, is a means of serving the people and achieving national and patriotic goals and values.
The Kurdistan Democratic Party is founded on its firm belief in coexistence, brotherhood, and harmony among all ethnic and religious communities and all political forces in Kurdistan and Iraq. It also considers partnership and respect for the Constitution to be the foundation for stability, security, and prosperity throughout Iraq.
On the anniversary of August 16, my message to the party’s supporters, members, and public is that the Kurdistan Democratic Party is a source of strength for the people of Kurdistan, and its primary mission is to serve the people of Kurdistan.
With the help of Almighty God, and through your will, determination, and the determination of all the people of Kurdistan, no obstacle or challenge can prevent us from fulfilling this sacred duty.
On this occasion, we solemnly remember all the martyrs, Peshmerga, freedom fighters, and heroes who made sacrifices throughout the history of the party’s struggle.
I also express my appreciation for the role of the party’s cadres, members, and dear supporters who have faithfully and devotedly supported their party under all circumstances, without tiring, and who have written glorious pages of history for their people.
