The Prince of the Ezidis in Iraq and the world, Prince Hazim Tahseen Beg, accompanied by Princess Mian Khatoun, held a consultative meeting with members of the Ezidi diaspora, hosted by the Ezidi House in the German city of Oldenburg on Monday evening (September 7, 2026).
The meeting discussed a number of key issues affecting the Ezidi community in Europe, particularly ways to preserve customs and traditions, and to uphold Ezidi heritage, folklore, and the mother tongue.
In his remarks, Prince Hazim Tahseen Beg stressed the importance of uniting Ezidi organizations and associations in the diaspora, calling for joint efforts to protect religious principles and values. He described preserving this authentic identity as the fundamental stronghold of Ezidis in countries of the diaspora.
The meeting, attended by the Prince’s representative in Germany, Mr. Qiran Ibrahim, as well as a large number of Ezidis from Iraq, Turkey, and Syria, also featured an open discussion and dialogue. The Prince responded to questions and inquiries from attendees regarding issues concerning the future of the Ezidi community.
