Saud Misto, Director General of Ezidi Affairs, received Dr. Mohammed Ali Yassin, Adviser to the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and Director of the Media and Relations Unit at the Prime Minister’s Office.
The meeting focused on protecting the principles of coexistence and safeguarding the rights of the Ezidis and all other communities. Saud Misto stressed the importance of media outlets in Kurdistan placing greater emphasis on messages of coexistence and peace while rejecting extremist rhetoric.
The meeting also addressed several current issues reflecting the aspirations and demands of the Ezidi and Kurdistan communities.
For his part, Dr. Mohammed Ali Yassin affirmed the KRG Prime Minister’s continued support for the Ezidi community across all fields.
