The World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting in Davos, featuring participation from Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, has commenced.
Themed “Collaboration for the Intelligent Age,” the event starts on Monday and will continue over four days. Prime Minister Barzani has been a consistent participant at this meeting for the past four years.
This year, the ‘Kurdistan House in Davos‘ will be a focal point, open daily for open house events and targeted discussions. Established for the first time at the 2024 WEF, the Kurdistan House serves as a platform to highlight the region’s potential as a global investment and innovation hub, fostering opportunities for international partnerships and economic growth.

he WEF Annual Meeting 2025 begins with the Crystal Awards ceremony on Day 1, where three Cultural Leaders will be honored: UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and children’s rights advocate David Beckham; fashion designer and women’s rights champion Diane von Furstenberg; and architect and social activist Riken Yamamoto, the 2024 Pritzker Prize laureate.
The Annual Meeting 2025 brings together global leaders to tackle crucial global and regional issues, including responding to geopolitical shocks, stimulating economic growth to improve living standards, and managing a just and inclusive energy transition.
