A delegation of bishops from the British and Norwegian churches visited the Lalish temple, where they were welcomed by Khalid Narmo, the representative of the Yazidi Prince and Yazidi religious leaders.
Khalid Narmo, who is also an advisor to the Supreme Spiritual Council of Yazidis, shared with Sama: “Today, a joint delegation of British and Norwegian church bishops visited the Lalish temple to gain a deeper understanding of the history and persecution of the Yazidis.”
He added, “We briefed the delegation on the current challenges facing the Yazidis, particularly the situation of displaced people in the camps and the Sinjar region. They reaffirmed their humanitarian, moral, and material support.”
Khalid Narmo further stated, “The bishops’ delegation had expressed their solidarity with the Yazidis in 2014, following the genocide, and they continue to offer their support to this day.”
