Ezidi boxer Kovan Jamil has claimed several notable victories in boxing championships held in Germany, delivering a high-level performance.
Kovan Jamil Qaidi, 26, is originally from the village of Deka, located in the Bapir subdistrict of Alqosh. He began his boxing journey in 2017 after moving to Germany.
“I’ve been practicing boxing for five years and have competed in more than 20 championships in the city of Ulm, Germany,” said Kovan. “I won one of the tournaments in just a matter of minutes.”
Kovan aspires to compete in both national and international championships in the future and hopes to raise the name of Kurdistan with pride on the global stage.
