President Masoud Barzani congratulated the Ezidis on the occasion of the Jama Festival, emphasizing that it is the responsibility of all parties to work towards protecting and promoting the culture of coexistence and solidarity among all religious and ethnic components in Kurdistan.
In his congratulatory message on Monday, September 6, 2025, President Barzani said:
“On the occasion of the Jama Festival, I extend my warmest congratulations to all Ezidis in Kurdistan and around the world.”
President Barzani added:
“The Ezidis are an inseparable part of the people of Kurdistan. After all the suffering and hardships our Ezidi brothers and sisters have endured, and following the illegal and abnormal situation that has been imposed on Sinjar and their areas for several years—which continues to be a source of concern—Kurdish Ezidis, with great faith and resilience, continue to celebrate their holidays and religious occasions in peace and freedom.”
He further stressed:
“It is the duty of all parties to work towards protecting and strengthening the culture of coexistence and solidarity among all religious and ethnic communities in Kurdistan.”
He concluded his message by saying:
“Happy Jama Festival, and may you always be blessed with joy and wellbeing.”
