Hussein Kuro, Director of the Office for Rescuing Ezidi Abductees, announced the liberation of two Ezidi girls from ISIS captivity after more than eleven years of abduction.
Kuro stated, “The two girls have been freed. They were abducted from Sinjar (Shingal) after ISIS committed genocide against the Ezidis in August 2014.”
It is worth noting that the office has recorded about 6,417 Ezidi abductees from Sinjar, of whom approximately 3,593 have been rescued so far, while the fate of the remaining individuals remains unknown.
