On Wednesday, 9 December 2025, a delegation of mayors from Northern Kurdistan visited the Lalish Temple, where they were received by Baba Jawish and Luqman Suleiman, the temple’s media officer.
The delegation toured the Lalish Temple, observing all the religious rituals and ceremonies performed there, with the necessary explanations provided to them.
The members of the delegation also expressed their happiness at being able to closely learn about the conditions of the Ezidis and the Lalish Temple.
Lalish is considered the holiest temple for the Ezidis, and it is located in the Sheikhan district within Duhok Governorate.
