Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Monday spoke after the opening of the Kurdistan House in Davos, reaffirming the Region’s ongoing participation in the World Economic Forum and its commitment to expanding international relations.

Barzani said the Kurdistan Region has taken part in the Davos forum for many years, describing it as a key global platform where political and economic leaders discuss major challenges and opportunities. He noted that the forum provides an important chance for the Kurdistan Region to engage directly with presidents, senior officials, and decision-makers from around the world.

The prime minister emphasized that such engagement helps strengthen political and economic ties, while also offering Kurdistan Region businessmen and investors the opportunity to connect with international partners and attract foreign investment. He expressed appreciation to local investors and business figures who attended the Kurdistan House, praising their role in supporting the Region’s presence at Davos.

Barzani also pointed to the growing interest in the Kurdistan House, suggesting that the strong turnout this year may require a larger venue in the future. Looking ahead, he said he expects to hold several important meetings with world leaders, stressing the need to clearly present the Kurdistan Region’s political and economic realities to the international community in order to gain broader support for its people and future development.
