Due to the current circumstances, His Highness the Prince has announced the suspension of the Serê Salê (Ezidi New Year) ceremonies.
His Highness Prince Hazim Tahsin Saeed, the spiritual leader of the Ezidis in Iraq and worldwide and head of the Supreme Spiritual Council, decided to halt all ceremonies related to the Ezidi New Year for this year.
The decision followed an expanded meeting with members of the Supreme Ezidi Spiritual Council and also includes:
▪️ Postponing the Tawûs Sancaq (Tawûs Geran) procession.
▪️ Banning media coverage by all satellite channels inside Lalish Temple.
These measures come in response to the current situation and the ongoing instability affecting Iraq, the Kurdistan Region, and the wider region.
