Sema

As part of its continued efforts to address the Ezidi genocide and document the crimes committed by ISIS terrorists, the Lalish Cultural and Social Center is holding a special panel discussion to introduce, sign, and distribute three newly published books by the center.

The event is scheduled for Sunday, August 30, 2026, at 4:00 p.m., at the Sheikh Shamo Hall at the Lalish Center in Duhok.

In addition to the book signing and distribution, the event will include awards and recognition for the authors and researchers in appreciation of their efforts and dedication.

The three featured publications are:

  • Ezidi Women Survivors of ISIS Captivity — by Dr. Jihan Hussein
  • Sexual Violence in Conflicts and Social Policy — by Dr. Sumaya Saeed
  • Testimonies from the Ezidi Genocide — a collaborative work by Dakhil Nayef, Shukri Rashid, Marwan Sheikh Hassan, and Dawood Murad.

The Lalish Center emphasized that the participation of intellectuals, academics, journalists, and activists would provide significant encouragement to the cultural movement and help amplify the voice of the Ezidi community and its cause.
