On September 26, 2026, Prince Hazim Tahseen Beg, Prince of the Ezidis in Kurdistan, Iraq and the world and President of the Supreme Spiritual Council of the Ezidis, met with First Lady of the Ezidis, Mian Khairy Beg, at the Êzî Shrine in the German city of Munich, where they gathered members of the Ezidi community.
At the beginning of the meeting, Prince Hazim Tahseen Beg welcomed the attendees in a speech and reaffirmed his commitment to working for Ezidi rights and addressing their issues, highlighting the situation in Shingal.
Prince Hazim Tahseen Beg noted that the situation of the Ezidis today is different from what it was 30 years ago, saying, “The situation of the Ezidis is not what it was 30 years ago. Ezidis today, both at home and abroad, are facing numerous challenges and complexities.”
He also highlighted the social challenges facing Ezidis in the diaspora and stressed the importance of making use of the skills and capabilities of young Ezidis abroad, particularly as a number of them have reached prominent positions and senior posts.
For her part, Mian Khairy Beg offered advice and recommendations, firmly rejecting violence against women. She also called for the proper and responsible use of social media and stressed the importance of respecting other religions and beliefs.
At the conclusion of the meeting, questions from attendees were addressed and discussions were held, with Prince Hazim Tahseen Beg and Maian Khairy Beg responding in detail to the questions and contributions raised by the participants.
