The Kurdistan Region successfully resumed its oil exports on the morning of Saturday, September 27, 2025, to Turkey’s Ceyhan Port via the Iraqi-Turkish pipeline. The Ministry of Natural Resources of the Kurdistan Regional Government announced in a statement today that “the export of the Region’s oil resumed at exactly 7:00 AM,” confirming the successful start of the process. Similarly, the Federal Ministry of Oil announced on Saturday morning the resumption of Kurdistan Region oil exports through the Iraqi-Turkish pipeline. In its statement, the Ministry said that “operations began at 6:00 AM with high efficiency and complete smoothness, without any significant technical issues.” The statement described the resumption of Kurdistan oil exports as “a reflection of the successful joint efforts between the federal government and the regional government in achieving this important milestone.” It emphasized that “this development marks a significant step toward enhancing the management of national wealth through a spirit of partnership and strong coordination, contributing to the sustainability of oil exports and support for the national economy.” According to the statement, this resumption came “in implementation of the directives of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al Sudani, with direct supervision by Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil Hayan Abdul Ghani, and in close cooperation with the Ministry of Natural Resources in the Kurdistan Region
