The religious figure from Syrian Kurdistan, Murshid Khaznawi, visited the sacred Lalish Temple on Saturday, February 8, 2025, where he was received by Mir Ismat Tahsin Beg, the representative of the Yazidi Mir, in an official ceremony. During the visit, Sheikh Murshid Khaznawi emphasized the deep historical bonds of brotherhood between him and the Yazidis, expressing his hope for strengthening mutual respect for sacred sites, promoting peaceful coexistence, and working together to protect their homeland. He also took a tour of the Lalish Valley, followed by an explanatory session led by Mir Ismat, who provided insights into the temple’s history and the rituals performed there.
