Sinjar Student Earns Doctorate in Pharmacy from U.S. University and Proudly Declares: “I Am Ezidi and Proud”

Elyas Halo Al-Dakhi, an Ezidi student from Sinjar, has successfully earned his Doctorate in Pharmacy from D’Youville University in the United States.

On this proud occasion, Al-Dakhi shared a heartfelt message on his personal Facebook page, expressing both gratitude and pride:

“As I receive my degree from one of the top universities in the state of New York, USA, I also carry the name, symbol, and identity of Ezidiyat proudly above my head on this special day.”

“Education is not just a means to fulfill personal ambitions — it is the greatest weapon we possess to affirm our existence, preserve our identity, and fight for our rights in this world.”

His achievement stands as a powerful reminder of the importance of education in uplifting individuals and communities — and in preserving cultural identity through knowledge and resilience.
