The Lalish Center releases a new book that reveals details of the crimes against Yazidi women under ISIS

The Lalish Cultural and Social Center  released a new book titled “Crimes Committed Against Women in Armed Conflicts: ISIS Crimes Against Yazidi Women as a Case Study,” authored by Lebanese researcher Madeline Ali Sabra. This publication is part of the Lalish Center’s ongoing efforts to support students and researchers who focus on issues related to the Yazidi faith, demonstrating the Center’s dedication to highlighting human rights concerns and the suffering endured by Yazidi communities.

The book provides a detailed account of the severe violations Yazidi women faced at the hands of ISIS during the conflict. Through a thorough study and comprehensive analysis, the book explores the nature of these crimes and assesses their devastating impact on the victims and the broader Yazidi community.

Said Jardo,  president of the Lalish center, remarked on the significance of this publication, stating: “This scholarly work not only brings attention to the tragedies suffered by Yazidi women but also contributes to documenting these atrocities to ensure justice and recognition of the suffering experienced by this vulnerable group.” He further emphasized, “The publication of such studies raises awareness of humanitarian issues and supports the pursuit of justice in the future.”
