Sema

A delegation from the U.S.-based LDS organization, led by Edward Rowe, the organization’s representative for the Middle East, visited Shariya Camp on the outskirts of Duhok Governorate to discuss the situation of displaced people living in the camp.

The delegation was warmly received by representatives of the Barzani Charity Foundation and the camp administration.

The visit was conducted in coordination with the Barzani Charity Foundation and aimed to gain a closer understanding of the conditions of displaced people, as well as to identify the main needs and challenges facing camp residents.

The Barzani Charity Foundation stated that the living conditions and needs of the displaced people were discussed during the visit, with emphasis placed on the importance of continued coordination and humanitarian support to improve their living conditions.

It was also noted that such visits and cooperation represent an important step toward gaining a direct understanding of the needs of displaced people and developing appropriate plans and projects to support and serve them.

The Barzani Charity Foundation and the U.S.-based LDS organization have been working together for several years and have implemented joint humanitarian projects to support and serve communities in need.
