“With Support from Prime Minister Masrour Barzani Lalish Halls Renovated to Serve the Community in Sheikhan” Azad Murad stated:
The renovation of the Lalish halls in Sheikhan — used for religious events, official meetings, and social gatherings — has been successfully completed with the direct support of the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, H.E. Masrour Barzani.
This initiative is part of the Prime Minister’s ongoing support for all Kurdish communities, particularly the Kurdish Ezidis, and was carried out in coordination with the Office of the Prime Minister.
The Head of the Lalish Cultural and Social Center – Sheikhan Branch Azad Murad Haji expressed deep gratitude to H.E. Masrour Barzani and his office, noting that the renovation process lasted for three consecutive months of consistent work and dedication.
He emphasized that the renovated halls are not exclusive to the Ezidi community, but also serve Christians and Muslims in the area. Numerous events and activities hosted by both Christian and Muslim communities regularly take place in these halls.
The Lalish Center in Sheikhan continues its mission to foster coexistence, dialogue, and cultural engagement, offering these halls as a shared space for all components of the region.
