The September Revolution is a golden chapter in the history of the Kurdish national liberation movement. It stands as the greatest comprehensive political, armed, and popular revolution in Kurdistan. From it, the people of Kurdistan drew strength to move forward with determination and confident steps toward new goals and broader horizons. Thanks to this revolution, the Kurdish cause made great strides and advanced significantly.
Under the leadership of the immortal Barzani, this revolution succeeded — for the first time in history — in laying a solid foundation for joint struggle and resistance across different regions of Kurdistan. It saw the participation of all societal segments and components in defending the just cause and the rights of the Kurdish people.
The September Revolution was a source of strength and inspiration for the later stages of the Kurdish struggle. Its meaning and achievements will forever remain a beacon that lights the path of the Kurdish people’s ongoing resistance and fight for freedom.
On the 64th anniversary of the spark that ignited the September Revolution, I express my deepest appreciation and gratitude to all those cadres, Peshmerga fighters, and freedom fighters who, through their resilience, courage, and devotion on the fields of honor and dignity, made history and brought pride to their people.
On this occasion, we send thousands of salutations to the martyrs of the September Revolution and to all the martyrs who sacrificed their lives on the path to Kurdistan’s freedom.
