 First Ezidi Officer Joins the U.S. Army

In a historic achievement recorded for the first time, Ezidi young man Tahseen Smo, from the Sheikhs of Amadin in the Sinjar District, has successfully joined the ranks of the U.S. Army after graduating from the U.S. Command and General Staff College with the rank of Lieutenant. He currently continues his professional career holding the rank of First Lieutenant.

 This milestone is a source of pride and honor for the Ezidi community, as it reflects a dignified image of the members of this ancient faith, who continue to demonstrate their competence and excellence in the fields of education and public service within the United States and other developed nations.
 This accomplishment adds to the series of successes achieved by Ezidis around the world, reaffirming their persistent determination to contribute actively to the societies in which they live, and to embody the values of peace, tolerance, and coexistence that represent the essence of the Ezidi faith.
It is worth mentioning that Lieutenant Tahseen Smo is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in Strategy and Military Intelligence at a university in Maryland, USA, reflecting his high ambitions and commitment to expanding his knowledge and expertise in the service of humanity.
