From Shingal to the Global Stage: Izzat Nouh, the First Ezidi Political Analyst in International Politics

Sema

Izzat Nouh holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Iraq. He has previously written analytical articles on the Ezidi community for the Washington Institute for Near East Policy.

Mr. Izzat Nouh is considered the first Ezidi political analyst to enter the field of international political analysis. He arrived in Germany in 2018 and, within a remarkably short period, successfully completed the German language qualification stages required for higher education. He then pursued his studies in Global Politics at Bielefeld University (Universität Bielefeld), where he earned a Master’s degree in Political Science, specializing in International Relations / Global Politics, with a good grade.

Izzat Nouh hails from Shingal (Sinjar)—the mountain of dignity, pride, and resilience. The sacred mountain that has stood firm throughout history, never desecrated by invaders; a mountain that gives birth to heroes, free spirits, and makers of miracles.

The sons and daughters of Shingal are leaders and heroes on the battlefields, and at the same time, they continue to make history in universities and across scientific, political, and academic fields.

A story of determination, identity, and success—worthy of recognition and pride.
