A returning international visitor has praised Lalish as a unique spiritual and cultural center where people can experience the Ezidi religion directly from its community rather than relying on information found online.
Having visited Lalish several times over the past four to five years, the visitor described the sacred valley as a place that preserves ancient traditions through pilgrimages, religious celebrations, and community life. They emphasized that the Ezidi people are often misunderstood and said learning from local guides and community members provides a far more authentic and respectful understanding of the faith and its history.
The visitor also commended local volunteers for helping guests appreciate the cultural and religious significance of Lalish, noting that firsthand guidance helps visitors avoid unintentionally disrespecting sacred traditions. They concluded that Lalish remains a remarkable example of a community preserving its identity, heritage, and centuries-old customs for future generations.
