Nuzhadar Saeed, originally from the Shariya Complex in Duhok Governorate, achieved a significant political victory in the municipal elections in Lower Saxony, Germany. In a statement to Sema TV, he said that he secured more than half of the total votes won by the Green Party list in his electoral district.
Speaking to Sema TV, Nuzhadar Saeed Abdo explained that he ran on the Green Party list in the elections for the southern district of the city of Oldenburg, Lower Saxony, which were held on September 13, 2026. Competing against eight candidates from his party in the district, he secured first place by a significant margin, receiving 1,784 votes.
Nuzhadar alone secured 51% of the total votes received by the Green Party list in the district, while the other seven candidates on the same list collectively received 49%. The result marks a notable achievement and reflects the strong support he received from voters.
Nuzhadar Saeed Abdo was born in 1998 in the Shariya Complex in Duhok Governorate. He is a graduate of the Department of Architecture at the University of Oldenburg in Germany and has been actively involved with Germany’s Green Party for the past four years.
